You are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 11, 2024 from 12- 2pm. The event will be held at our normal venue (3 West) but in the Library and Lincoln Room on the 4th floor. This meeting is for Members only and the cost is $90.00.
The Annual General Meeting is where we initiate our new President and Board of Governors and opportunity for Members to engage directly with the outgoing and incoming leadership of the Club.
Please use the below link to submit your votes via proxy for President and Governor(s) and to review the proposed changes to the By-laws of John Street Insurance Association, Inc (redlined copy of By-laws here). There are also explanations in the description regarding the proposed amendments on the voting page.
Pursuant to Article V, Section 4 of the by-laws we are required to have a quorum with 25% of the membership present or represented by proxy to establish a quorum to elect a new President and Governors and adopt the proposed changes to the By-laws.
Pursuant to Article VIII, Section 1 a Nominating Committee was established which recommend to Membership next years President and Governors. It was comprised of three appointed Members of the Club:

Nominations for candidates for election as President and Governors may also be made by other Members of the Association provided these nominations shall be made in writing and shall be signed by not less than ten Members of the Association. These nominations shall be presented to the Secretary at least 15 days prior to the Annual General Meeting and the Secretary shall notify the Membership of the nominations at least 10 days prior to the Annual General Meeting.
